: : : I salvaged a old IH disc today that I saw buried in some weeds a few days ago at my friends father-in-laws farm. I asked him if he would be willing to sell it and to my surprise he said I could have it. I was shocked. It was sitting basically vertical on top of a old tobacco setter. I thought it would be in pretty rough shape, but to my surprise it only needs work in one place. My questions are what odel is it and what color, colors should iit be. It is a tandem pull-type disc. It has two harrows in front and two slighty wider ones in the rear. It has a handle and a chain in the front that you crank to pull the back row in straight or to angle them. It also has a handle that you slide forward or backwards to lock them in place. The only numbers I could find were 1831 on one side and 1832 on the other. Thanks in advance for all help. Bill

: : its an old one alright.

: : That was a lot of help! ;)

Just a guess, but could it be a McCormick-Deering model 10-B?
