sAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, i REBUILT THE FUEL SYSTEM, CARB, MAG, DIST WIRING, ALL OF IT, TURNS OUT I HAD STICKING VALVES WHEN IT GOT WARMED UP, RAN GOOD COLD, TWO LAPS AROUND THE YARD WITH THE MOWER, IT STARTED LOOSING POWER AND CRAPPING OUT EVERY TIME, STARTED USING LEAD ADDITIVE ALL THE TIME, AND IT RUNS LIKE NEW, IT JUST WASN'T DESIGNED TO RUN ON NO LEAD GAS: : I resently purchased a Jubilee. It starts fine but after a short period of time when using the tractor the engine loses power and begins to cough and sputter. The only way to keep it running is to pull out the choke. : From your description, I would look for either a plugged fuel line/filter, or a vacuum leak. More than likely just crud in either the filter, tank strainer, or carburator. Pulling out the choke would compensate for either condition, but I'll bet there isn't a lot of power available.
