: Tore the engine down on my JD and found an extra bolt in the bottom of the crank case, and I don't mean a little rod bolt. It was a 3/4 bolt about 4in long. Looked like it have been in there for years, no one I guess bothered to take the time to get it out. It didn't fit anywhere on the tractor, probably off the piece of equitment that was mounted during the last over haul. Just wanted to know what other odd thing people had found in their old tractors. : Changed the oil in my Deere a few weeks ago and the oil didn't run out like it should. So I stuck my finger up in the drain hole and there was something Big the the bottom of the crankcase. Got a flashlight and looked up in there. There was a socket in there. We had overhauled the engine about a year and half ago, I guess it fell in and we closed her up. It only took about 15mins to get out, but couldn't believe it was in there. I was an 1 1/16 deep impact socket. Looked like new. Found out it has my dad's socket, he wanted to charge me rent on the socket for the last year and half. Ah.
