When I first started using a computer, it got onto "Just Ask" not sure if it was .com but most likely is. I quickly found out they knew less than I did except they wanted money. That was always a problem with IH service reps also. IH would hire a salesman and then give him the job of area service rep as well. Then you just get into a lot of big arguments. Cornered one at a service training session one time that I had talked over the phone to about a common problem and he said dealer would not get stuck with the bill, nor the customer. Well, we did and when I confronted him about it, in front of a few others, he smugly said he talked to the mechanic at that dealer and was told the tractor was never brought into the shop. I just said, yup, I'm the mechanic and I did the repair. He just turned red and walked away. Actually he was a carpenter by trade.
