If you have already removed the hidden bolt etc... you will need to manipulate the engine with a hoist a bit...raise it, lower it etc to find the angle it wants to move at. A large sledge hammer above the bell housing would be good for tapping it loose too....my best tools for spreading the plate apart are the 6 to 8 inch wonder bars...tap them in and then work to the larger wonder bars to pry it loose...it will come, be patient and just get it done.
