Rough ride this morning

Had a rough ride this morning, Trailer with machinery going to a show. About 5-6 mile from home a Big Jeep did not stop for the stop sine. My trailer is totalled and also her Jeep. We thought she hit me just in front of the fender on trailer but looking later hooks like she hit the fender just in back of left rear wheel on truck, just slight dent there. Wrecker had to tow trailer home. Did not think any problem with truck so when the wrecker towed trailer home I went on to the show. Axle folded under, fender destroyed and new tire blown that we saw at the time. When I got home now looked at trailer and front of Jeep rode over top of fender . The trailer is angle Iron frame with sides on bed with bed between wheels and Now I see that both the top rail and bottom at floor are bent down at ends. and trailer is setting twisted. All the machinery on trailer was sold for use with the 2N Ford as feature was Ford and Ferguson. Trailer was 16 years old and used almost all the time. Just a week ago sunday had put on 4 new radial tires and wheels, think the wheel with blown tire is probably bent as well but with the fender into tire cannot tell. I am going to have to get truck checked out to see if any dammage underneeth as it seemes a bit more squirly in back end but not used to driving it much without the trailer. The new tires have 500-600 mile on them only. 16" tandem axle 3,500# axles and it seems TSC and Rual King only sell single axle trailers now. It was bought new from Central Tractor. I had my cruise set on 50 when I was hit. While trying to keep control and getting stoped, cruise kept pulling me along, glance in side mirrow I thought the Jeep was going to flip as it turned it completely around but it did not. Just a lot more axintey and proplems to go thru. Not enough loosing wife less than 4 month ago. And stepson that was supposed to be helping me after her death turned out he was helping himself to her life insurance. Laywer figured out what was going on and turned him over to sherif. So I have had just too much stress lately.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
