All of the above will work, it just depends on what you want to catch. I have been using three marsh mellow in my live traps and have had very good luck catching just coons. I put them just under the trip at the far end of the trap. That way the coon can not reach in from the side and get them. The cats don't seam to eat march mellow. I did however get one skunk but they are no big issue either. Just gently drape a tarp over the trap and be slow in your movements. Remember the skunk is just as scared as you and he just wants out.
