Last night we had a nice 1.2" rain. Last week we also had 1.2". Some have had more and some less. Somewhere around Manhattan, KS area supposedly got 7"+ last evening. (Don't need that). What we have had really looks good.
We had good fall rains last year, but nothing over the winter or spring. Things were looking bleak. Pastures weren't growing, wheat looks thin and short around here. Very nice to see the moisture. The pastures are really starting to grow. Things are sure starting to look right again.
As some may remember my Brother and I have quit farming. This will be the first year without our own crops. I seem to be worrying just as much as when we did. Maybe I just want the renter to make sure he has a good crop...lol! I do have hay and pasture still, so this will sure do it some good. It is a blessing - Bob
