Hey Phil its a shame that Canadians have so mush trouble getting parts from here I just cant see why its so difficult. I drove thru there once on the way to Elmendorf AFB Anchorage Alaska. Been years ago they had a volcano go off and there were no flights into anchorage. They needed a man up there real bad so I drove from San Antonio Texas 5500 miles one way. Beautiful country British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
Real nice folks up there. I did have one lady turn around and follow me to the next town when I stopped she started to chew me out real good about the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound, Alaska I guess because she saw the Texas license plate and she thought I worked for Exxon. It took a few minutes to calm her down before she cut me loose. I went inside a small restaurant and asked the manager for a large coffee and a donut he said he didn't have donuts but he had cinnamon rolls so I ordered one cinnamon roll and one coffee. Well we chatted about my encounter with the woman. Talked about all the stuffed animals hanging on the walls I think every place I stopped they had stuffed animals hanging or posed inside. They had filled my order and he rang me up it was like 5 to 7 dollars I saw a plate covered with tin foil looked like a dozen cinnamon rolls so ok no big deal. Well I thanked him went out to the truck and opened the cinnamon rolls It was one cinnamon roll biggest thing Id ever seen about 10 inch's square by 21/2 inch's thick. I immediately went back it and told him it was a pretty big cinnamon roll but its not half as big as the ones in Texas. That was just the beginning of my trip through your beautiful country.
