: : : A long time age I had seen a mag on a Cub Cadet that I could use today. : : I'm building a small engine, two cylinder, without any electric system. : : This mag I had seen was a self contained bolt on unit with two plug wires and one wire : : for a kill swtich. I need this simplicity and bolt on ability. : : I have no idea how to go about looking at one without doing a song and dance for : : a parts counterman. : : Are anyone familiar with what I'm talking about? : : Are there many different types or if I'm lucky very few. : : If they don't cost much I buy on to try. : The old Wisconsin "TJD" and "THD' May have used them as an option. Check with a small engine Dealer, and bring a passel of money . Also You will be offered "Wico" or Fairbanks-Morse.... Both are good. ...........Cyrus I have seen these on portable welding rigs. Probably Wisconsin engines as Cyrus said. Kohler may have one too, don't know.
