: : : : : : I recently purchased a International W-4 tractor. The tractor runs great, and is equipt with a hydraulic pump and plumbing. I would like to know if anyone knows of a three point hitch conversion for my tractor. Most people that I talk to have never heard of a W-4. What type of work was this tractor primarily designed for, and what years did they manufacter this model? Is it rare? : : Mark, The W-4 is not rare, they were made from 1940 to 1953. In 53 and 54 a Super W-4 version was made. It was called the standard version of the farmall H, which meant wide front end and lower to the ground. It had the same 152 ci four cylinder engine and four speed trans as the H. Do you know the serial # of your tractor? : Kevin, : Thanks for the reply. The tractor is possibly a 1952 and has the serial number of WBHM 18918. The engine is a 152, and it has a five speed transmission. It has a new clutch, new rings a complete valve job, good tin, and it rund great. I paid $950.00 for it, thinking it was a good deal. I would like to use it with three point attachments. : Mark Mark, The serial number shows a 1948 model. Ive never seen a 3 pt on a W-4 but contact Don Van Eaton at vaneaton@sprintmail.com He may have one or know where to find one. Good luck with your tractor sounds like you got a good deal
