If you want the correct color use "classic" green, how ever I like the new color my self.Use the new fast drying paint from JD,you must use fast drying thinner with it.You can get both from your JD dealer. As for decals Jorde is the best I've used .They come with a diogram for proper placement.Good Luck! : I just got my new exhaust pipe from John Deere for my MT. I was going to buy paint so I could finish it up but they had 3 diffrent kinds of paint. John Deere Green, J.D. Agriculture Green, and J.D. classic green. It says on the classic green it is for antiques but the parts man says it all comes out of the same big can back at the factory. Help please. I also found decals from John Deere and they weren't going to be that expensive, I think around 40-60 dollars for a complete kit but I'm not sure about placement. Any ideas?? I was also looking through their parts catolog and noticed a Model "M", "MT"< "MC", and a "MI". The MC is a crawler, the MT is a tricycle. Can anyone tell me what the diffrence between and "M" and an "MI" is, I noticed a small brace running from front to rear tires on one side of the picture but I couldn't tell what it was for... Thanks in Advance. I was also wondering if there happen to be an "MC's " close to Idaho or Utah thay anyone knows of. I'm hoping to slowly build a complete collection of "m" series tractors....
