The reason the tractors were brought to the US is because in the early 60's tractor prices had gone up so high that many farmers complained to their dealers that the new tractors had to many bells and whistles and all they needed was a M with 3 point. The southern IH dealers got together and orders a shipload of B-450s and if IRC they came into Mobile or New Orleans. The problem was that the price of the "M with 3 point hitch" had increased dramatically so they weren't the bargain the farmers hoped for and no more were imported. This is what was told to me by a former IHC blockman.
