: : I've never tried this but I've been told to jack : : up one rear wheel and rock it back and forth : : fairly hard with the tractor in gear and it will : : break loose a stuck engine. Might be worth a try. : : Good luck. JD : Caution, this method has the potential to break connencting rods, and piston heads. I'm the one who first put up this idea of jacking up a rear wheel and rocking it in gear, after having Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders soaking for at least a few days. It has worked good for me, and the latest tractor I used it on got a hard test. I'm not afraid to use it again. Anything that would require the further tear down would most likely be getting new pistons anyway, and the cast rods are strong. This works because of the shock easily rendered when the slack is out of the moving gears and the wheel acts as the hammer at the end of the stroke. Also it's quick to rock the wheel a little each time you may pass by. Pistons on most engines are relatively strong. Few engines with badly scored up cylinders break a piston.
