I run a 7200 with a 1086. I use the PTO pump Deere offered for tractors with less than ample hydraulics. I was told by a neighbor the pump looks like the one they drove a Cyclo planter with but there might be different sized pumps out there that look the same. There is an oil cooler and filter bolted to the planter frame to go along with the pump. This pump is a little small In my opinion but does the job. I run precision Esets that require close to 20" of vac and I need to have the flow valve cranked way up to get that kind of vacuum. I have also noticed some gaps in the corn stand close to the end rows where I throttle the tractor back. The 1086 does have the bigger (16 gallon?) pump and the planter still raises a little slower than I would like to see. I had the thought of trying to run the planter with the tractor hydraulics and running the return line through the cooler but then the planter would raise even slower and the cooler might not have enough flow capacity. When we are running a 12 row over 1000 acres there isn't much time for experimentation. Jim
