I had the same need you are talking about and bought a pto pump from Northern for $150 that
has worked very well. It puts out enough pressure that it even acts as a (mediocre) spray
washer. Also, you can minimize your priming problems if you keep the tractor/pump close to the source
and use a longer outlet hose to get to the tank, rather than vice versa with a long intake hose.
Northern is online at www.northern-online.com, but don't offer these pumpse online (get a catalog).
