Greg1959, I hope you read the labels on any flea tick killers, it is a pesticide and is not good for people or children. What surprises me is people never think twice about dumping that junk on their pets. It kills the dogs immune system,and once its gone it's gone and won't come back. Most of these products also can cause cancer in animals, so the question is,what is the best alternative. I bet there are multiple things naturally that will get rid of fleas, ticks etc without harming the family pet. Garlic is one I know and can attest to for family dog, ticks can't handle the smell and fleas can't tolerate it either. Food grade diamateceous earth is a great alternative also. Boil some fresh liver in Garlic, put it in a dehydrator, give that to your pet for treats. It will rid them of these pests. Also make a garlic spray you mix with water and spray the yard with it.It works and we use it,no ticks,fleas and no mosquito's all spring and summer and into the fall. Frontline will never touch our dog,but it is our choice and we have found natural ways to rid of pests,found a lot of this out from local breeder where we got Jake.We also carry insurance policy on him,for our peace of mind.
