Actually we can no longer buy on line which is part of the NYS safe act, and they were supposed to have this database and or registry created for all purchases of ammunition, to date I do not believe is in use, so at this time its literally a farce. I had found some of those .308's at Palmetto state armory, (website) and ordered several boxes before the deadline on ordering from the web, and it was needed, now I just try add to it, a little at a time, and thankfully I have what I need and then some, no different than before, I mean I could go a few years, get 2 boxes of those, repeat, don't really shoot all that much and have relied on that one rifle being on, to conserve, now I can practice a little this year !

I guess the .22 is short everywhere, cripes in '97 and later, there was always a display of Federal, 500 round boxes, was $9.86 per the tag on the box, and you could walk out with arms full of it. These were the loose filled boxes, no boxes of 50 inside.

The young man at the counter said he noticed some state troopers congregating prior to coming into the store, with the intent on buying all the .22 that does come in weekly, meaning they show up every week to do the same. I am not sure of the validity of that statement, but he works that counter, its probably the strangest thing I've heard about this situation yet, I will have to listen up and see if anything else comes to light about that. Now there are local ads, $75 for 500, I won't pay that extortion, yet anyway LOL ! I did stock up enough on those. At least I have enough to deal with varmints and pests when needed which does have a little priority like this year with so many woodchucks trying to make dens near the house.
