This year, New Lexington, Ohio FFA refurbished a Farmall H as our FFA raffle tractor. This tractor was donated by a local FFA alumni member. The tractor sat in his barn for nearly 2 decades until last fall when we drug it out and hauled it to the school shop to be worked on. With a little work, the kids had the tractor running good. We changed some tires around on it to get a decent matching set. After that, it was on to some minor bodywork before taking the tractor apart and painting it.

The tractor is not perfect, it is a project worked on by students who are very proud of their work. For many of them, this was the first tractor they had ever worked on. This tractor does start right up and runs good.

Tickets are $5 each or 5/$20. Money made for this project goes to the following:

Scholarships for FFA students

Maintenance of FFA van for transporting students to contests and events

FFA shop supplies

FFA shop projects (such as this)

Upkeep and maintenance on our county gun club

If you would like to purchase chances on this tractor, you can reply here or email me. The tractor will be given away at our final tractor pull of the year on September 27. You do not need to be present to win, but if you live close, you should come out for a good show put on in large part by FFA students.
