The great surgeon removed the cataract from my left eye today.I went under the knife(so to speak) without benefit of anethesia. So far having no problems, I am going back tomorrow, so surgeon can see how it's doing. I got a lot of comments in the operating room, all positive (good work LOU). Now I know what it's going to be like on the right eye come August.The risk for anethesia via IV was too big of a risk for strangulation of thick speutum causing me to choke while laying flat on my back. I didn't have to use an anethesiaologist,but she was in the room in case something went haywire. All my vitals were like a 20-30 yr old, now I'm looking forward to the right eye being taken care of. Lots of thought went into my problem,it was a great team.Never did like the idea of being put under with no control, to tell the truth, I'm a big chicken. The ones on here that gave me the encouragement to do it, a long time back, was helpful, along with the surgery that was performed on my daughter and my wife, with the same team. Know I know what they mean by the term, second sight.lol.
