: My dad's got an F-14 sitting in the barn which we used to use for cultivating every spring. : It was probably last used in about 1970-71 and still has all the original cultivators attached. : Haven't really seen much on the net about F-14's. I believe the F-12 was a much more popular : and common tractor (true/not?) I'm basing this on some information I saw which indicated that the : F-12 was made for several more years. Although I've only been to a few antique tractor shows, I've yet : to see a restored F-14. Is it fairly rare? Rare, or not, I plan on bringing it out of the barn and getting : it into the garage for a restoration project in a few years time. : For anyone out there who restores and shows tractors, is this a good project? : Once I start this, am I likely to find parts hard to come by, or : available with a little searching? : Thanks in advance. Ron, it can be done. At least over half the parts are interchangable between the 12 and 14. From the IH data book, by Guy Fay, there were 123,942 F-12's built and 27,401 F-14's built. It will not be easy finding parts but you are on the best site possible. Use the classifieds when you get ready to search for parts. Good luck.
