: I have a Massey-Harris 30 that I restored over the past nine months.Put it all back together and it started and ran fine. After taking it for a spin the other day I parked in the driveway and shut it down. When I went to start it,nothing. : When pushing the starter I can hear a faint spark either by the battery or the switch.I took the battery to get tested and it was holding a 6 volt charge but had no cranking amps, replaced with a new one. : Put in a new starter switch, had the starter tested, the generator was rebuilt, all new wires in the control panel test ok,battery cables test good, ground ok. : When I put the fully charged battery in and hit the starter, still nothing.Put the charger on again and it's totally drained. : Can't figure why it was running good and now DOA. : Any thoughts would be appreciated!! Alan, not familiar with your machine, but does it have a voltage regulator with points? Sounds like they are not opening when you are shutting down. That would drain the battery in an hour easily
