Well here in the buckeye if you left some hide in some far off land due to shell we say FLYING OBJECT we can get our plates for FREE . Just found out about it here a couple years ago. One of my friends kept bugging me about getting a Viet Nam vet plate . I have never really talked much about nam and what i did . Just remember how i was greeted at the air port after i left Ft. Dix . Lets just say that the big cop that pulled me off them two hippies did them a favor as if i had got my hand inside my AWOL bag and got my one knife out i would have cut there throats. But anyway after a lot of bugging me about it i said i would . So took my DD214 in to show them and as i call the witch WICKED WANDA as she would make having a Cobra for a pet enjoyable I tried my darnedest to stay away from her and i got some other girl . Told her i wanted the Nam vet plate . She asked if i had the DD214 yep got it as i was showing her her comes Wicked Wanda screeching WHAT DOES HE WANT She pushes the other girl aside and said i will take care of HIM . and she asked for the DD214 and it was layen on the counter And spins it around only to find that now it is up side down and spins it again and starts to read it while asking mke if i had served during the time frame or was i actually in Nam . Then the next thing i hear from her Screeching voice is OH Oh OH you do not want the Viet Nam plate , yes i do Oh no you want the Purple Heart plate it is Free . Now you tell me and just how long has this been this way , OH a good while . Told her that i want a refund for all the years I PAID FOR MY PLATES.
