Ok. I will look into the drills and planters. Now, I have a John Deere LA with cultivators so that should be taken care of. I will look into a coulter...I would like a nicer job. The problem with buying those coutlers is only the actual disc part comes with it, and my newly-bought plow needs the whole apparatus.
The lands. Ok so my Grandfather inspected the plow and there is a length of a thick sheet of metal that runs along the base of the actual plow called the "land". It's purpose is to make the cut and bottom of your furrow straight and clean. The land that is off completely is the plow who will have the second plow's furrow ride over it. The second bottom's land, who's cut you'll be actually able to see is just bent.
In this photo you can see the piece of straight metal that is bolted on. That, my Grandfather says, is the land, which are bent and have broken on my plow. (That plow is not mine!! It's a stock photo lol!!)
Now, I don't have the capabilities to get harvest equipment, so we're looking at a local farmer doing it for us. Many 1,000+, 200 year old legacy farms are around our small piece of land 45 minutes from home, so I'm sure one of them will have the capabilities.
Does this all make sense?!?! Sometimes I make things to complex! Thank you in advance
