Life is good, indeed.

I am working on a deal to sign up another farm right now. They weren't asking much for rent, so I had to go above them to give them what is fair and show them what the land is really worth.

I won't make much per acre, but their farm will not go to trees and become just another place for a weekend warrior to bag a deer, or sit in a tree for a weekend. The land will be productive and beautiful. I love to see that beautiful countryside when I drive past.

My Dad taught me well. His dad taught him well. It continues with me, and I will teach my children well. My town is small, and farmers aren't really as welcome as they should be. I have been screamed at for slowing down traffic, and I have had to deal with a lot to get some farms planted. I will continue as best as I can.

My Dad deserves to have the newer equipment I can now afford. We have both got frostbite working on tractors with no cabs. Now, he complains because it is too hot I the cab in winter, and has to open a window or door. He still hasn't figured out how to regulate the heater. It makes me so happy.

Thanks to all who know what it is like to use the older equipment that I grew up on. I still use it as a way to reward and remind myself of how good I have it. There are a few pieces of equipment I will never sell or stop using. For us, including all of you, we know what happiness is and we know how to enjoy life.

Thanks to all. During the summer, or spring, I would love to host a plow day or a working machinery show, so that we all could have fun together.
