: I have recently restored a 1935 F-12. : For the first few days, it would crank 'no problem.' : then, one day, it just quit starting. I can roll it off and it : starts very easily...but you can't pay it enough to start with the : hand crank. I have gotten rid of the Champion plugs in exchange for autolites and have good blue spark outside : the combustion chamber. Anyone have a clue? I'm at a complete loss. : Thanks in advance, Kevin Is this a distillate-fueled tractor? If so, make sure you switch back to gas before you shut down. If you shut down with distillate in the carb, it will be a real bear to start. If this is not the case, recheck the mag timing and the valve lash. In the process of breaking in a new engine, settings change as parts seat in. Paul.
