I think I had one of them. Got tired of not being able to grease the zerk at the far end of the drive line (at the ujoint in front of the slip clutch) since it had an enclosed drive shaft. So I got my torch out and cut a 12" hole in the side and had no more problems. Probably a 6" would have worked, but I did the big one for spite.
Other thing I didn't like about it was to move from the road position to the cut position and back, I had to take along a piece of cinder block to block the right rear wheel. Swore I'd never have another so I sold it and bought a JD 1209 with an open shaft. I don't know how you put up with it.
Ok I had my venting session. Sorry; on second thought, naw. NH deserved it.
