Where I work the manager gives everyone a $25 gift card to Schnucks. No complaints there.
Then the company has a safety incentive. October 2014 will mark 10 years without a lost time claim. Our safety bonus for next year will be $1100.00 They give it in a gift (mastercard) card so no taxes are taken out. I found out a way to link it to my paypal account and transfer it to my bank account where I can draw interest from it. transferring it to the bank cost me 3% of what I transfer but it was worth it. I did this because if we don't use our gift card the bank that issued it will charge a non-use fee for not using it. All and All there are no complainers. I hate to see the person who gets hurt and ruins the track record. Joke around the plant is if any one gets hurt or ruins the $1100 bonus will get hurt from everyone else when he or she returns to work...LOL
