Starting will not give a chance for valves and the like to stick. Back when we had the engine on a pull type of combine Dad would whenever he was close to the combine give it a few pulls of the crank to set all the parts in a different location. One year he did not do that and valves stuck and when he wenr to start at beginning of season bent the pushrods. Running them would get the oil back up to the valves and such to keep them lubricated so they do not stick. As far as condensation I have no idea.
