Anyway, glad you found the problem.

Sounds like the guys have you covered as far as the fix.

As they said, it should wire to the field terminal of either the

VReg or the light switch depending on the system you have.

Since you said you have a new VReg on order, I assume that

you already have that type of setup.

Someone else mentioned it already, but make sure your VReg

has a good ground connection too. Clean all the rust and paint

off so it makes a good connection to the frame.

One last thought, if you just put in a new battery and it is fully

charged, it should NOT be charging much, if at all.

If the VReg is working correctly, it should sense that no charge

is needed and not try to overcharge the battery.
