They are many people you meet in life that are just doing their "job'. Sergeant Jamison was just a supply Sergeant when I first met him in 1969. He was just the guy that handed out the "stuff" we needed to function. Over the time I was stationed in Vietnam he became a good friend. When he was off duty he was one of the most up beat people I have ever met. He just always was positive.
He an I kept in contact over the years since then. He was ten years my senior. His health started to fail a few years ago. His wife called me earlier this evening. He passed in his sleep last night. He requested that he did not want a big service. He just wanted people to remember him the way he was.
He loved bag pipe music. So I think he would have got a kick out of this music.
