Hey All... I just bought a 1449 Farmall-H according to the vin... It's runs fine well need to work on the carb... Looks like it's got a heavy float or a bad needle or seat...Back to the Megneto somebody along the line had a problem with the megneto and installed a coil and ran a wire from the points to the negative side of the coil and positive wire to the positive side of the coil and made it work...I have not even got it home yet just did a field inspection... I am going to mark the megneto and the rotor were is seats right now and jurk it off to look inside see what is going on...I'm sure it is a bad connection or a grounded wire that is causing the problem... Has anyone here ever had a uncommon problem with a megneto that I should know about...or can give some tips what to look for...(Megneto number H41233255) Oh almost forgot...I have a Farmall-B. I had pulled the megnito from it a long time ago can't even remember what for. I was talking to my brother and had the megneto in my hand without the coil cover on it, I was holding it from the top I spun the megneto drive gear with my other hand and it knocked the crap out off me when it fired...I'm going to do the same thing with this one when it knocks the crap out of me I'll know it's working fine...LOL...Thanks Raner...
