My wife's 92 year old uncle called this morning to say he had some freshly picked okra and green beans that I just HAD to pick up today. Just before hanging up the phone he quickly mentioned that I'd have to drive around a downed sycamore tree (hint hint) that was blocking the lane and to meet him in the garden east of his old milking parlor. When I got there I noticed a huge 36" old sycamore had fallen across the lane blocking access to his fields. I brought back my T250 Bobcat with a root rake attachment and cleaned up a good portion of fence row (under his supervision) for 2 or 3 hours. Never saw the man so happy. Japanese beetles and blossom end rot have destroyed much of his tomato plants, however, he INSISTED that I take the only two tomatoes he had. I feel like I owe him some change back. He made my day!
