Fixerupper, Your statement is about Deere using a LA because of there strong rear end is interesting . As Deere used a chain drive like the Cases in all of there model"D" s. I wonder if Deere knew that they had a very strong & trouble free drive train. I have heard from an well imformed old Case man that Case did not offer the 3-71 factory installed, but they had some of the parts needed to do the conversion listed in there parts books at one time. clint
