: I Posted a message this am & got responce from bill& patrick.I got the set screws out,but cannot get the puller hooked up without damaging the pressure plate springs whitch covers the crankshaft Can anyone help? Thanks Charlie : Make sure you got 2 set screws out of each hole. Then remove the set screws from the large pulley behind the clutch assembly. Soak the holes and the general area with a good quality penatrating oil (not WD-40) and let it set overnight. Then you should be able to tap the large pulley back and forth. Heat it with propane torch and soak it some more if necessary. The idea is to get this large pulley back away from the clutch pulley enough to get at the clutch pulley. I went thru this routine on my rusty 122 the other day. I got the clutch pulley off by tapping and prying with out damage to anything. I used a grease needle to lube the sealed bearing under the clutch pulley. This needle looks like a hypodermic needle with a zerk fitting attached. I got it at my local Cub Cadet dealer. It works great on "sealed" bearings. Don't rush this job, it took 30 years to stick it take your time and it will come apart. I use PB Blaster penatrating oil. Good luck: Mike
