The 5500 has a three speed hi low shuttle shift transmission . The hydraulic pump is mounted on the back of the rear end connected to the top shaft above were the PTO would be sticking out. I had thought it might be easier after thinking about it that if I could find a ford 5000 or 7000 junker I would have a better chance of making things work. I don't know what the RPM of the top shaft is but looking at my drive train I think it's the same as the motor. Thank you for the input Dave
