I went through the same thing a week ago with my two generators. I've used stablex and run the carbs dry. I have decided to drain the carbs and the gas out of the tank after each use. The small Honda I use on and off, but the 4000 watt I only use in emergencies. I have had the bigger one since the seventies but never had any carb problems until the last ten years or so. I think the gas keeps getting worse
