While driving tractors as a civilian employee for the Marine Corps I was cutting grass with a bat wing and didn't see the communication line that had fallen off the utility pole. What alerted me to this fact was I noticed the utility poles shaking as the wire was being stripped from them. Needless to say I had quite a rat's nest under that deck that took me the better part of the day to remove. I wish I could have seen the lineman's face when he showed up to repair what he probably thought was a break only to find several hundred yards of wire missing. Another time I caught a garden hose in a deck mower which, instead of cutting the hose, sucked it in ripping the spigot from the side of the building. At least I was never as bad as the guy that ran over the valve for the JP fuel tank,
