BTO's are the guys who are 'ground hogs'. They can't pass up on a few acres. It's no wonder a smaller guy can't get a start in this business in a few years, because some BTO will suck up any ground available in a given area like a vacuum cleaner. MOst are good guys, but greedy. Most are good farmers, but want to be the ONLY farmer in the area. They're also part of the preception of 'factory farms'. Many rarely have time for 4-H or Farm Bureau unless there's a photo-op or money in it for them. Occasionally they show up at extension meetings to throw their weight around. But most are just greedy and want more.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
