The question ahead of us for level headed people is where do we make a sensible cut for what is legal to buy at a gun store. We already can't by 50 cal machine guns. Without an assault rifle and large capacity clip the guy who did the Sandy Hook shooting could not have caused that much damage. This guy was mentally ill and not trained to handle guns. He just could not have done as much damage with a 5 shot bolt action rifle. Yes people kill, guns don't, but guns make bad people much more powerful with minimal training and physical abilities. I want to end this saying I own guns and enjoy hunting but at some point we just have to use our heads.
