MSD, every time you filled out that 4473 form at a dealers you created a record. What do you think they are for? Plus, we've had a permit system here forever. I grew up with it.

Hugh- 25 years ago if I'd have told you we'd have marriage for gays would have believed me? If I'd told you incandescent light bulbs would be on course for outlawing, would you have believed me? If I told you the town dump would be closed and you'd have to pay $15.00 to toss 2 bags of garbage into a bin, would you have believed me? If I told you a kid would be required to be in a car seat till he was 8 years old, would you have believed me? If I told your debt would be $16 trillion dollars and 51% of the taxpayers would pay no effective income tax, would you have believed me?

If I wait till they take my guns to move, then I'm out not just the money I spent on them, but I've lost my fathers guns and father in laws guns. What? I can replace them at Walmart? And the last time I checked, what YOU condone has no effect on me. That's what that crazy idea about FREEDOM is all about.

I'm not looking for "ideal", I'm looking for suggestions on where to start looking.

Tanker, I'm sorry, but when you say Minnesota names like Al Franken, Keith Ellison, Walter Mondale and Tim Pawlenty jump to mind. I mean, yeah, you got Michelle Bachman, but you got AL FRANKEN!!! I had a chance to literally push that slime bag under a bus in NYC once. A tiny part of me regrets not doing it. So, thanks, but no thanks. I already live where I have 5-6 months where I can wake up to 16" of "partly cloudy".

Fred, thank you for your informative and thought provoking input.

Thanks Dave, I'll take a look at those areas in Idaho. Doesn't Sandpoint have some connection with draft horses? That's one of my passions. I know the fishing is great in that state.
