Maybe check with your county to find out what they use on their snow plows? Some newer snow plows have a slick sheet of UHMW polyethylene covering the moldboard (McMaster-Carr).
Graphite (gravity box) paint wears very well and works works fairly well, especially after it gets polished a little.
For worst-case conditions I suggest spray-on "glide" wax for downhill and cross country skis. Glide wax is hard and wears very well but it would be expensive for large areas. Swix and Toko are two good brands, their web sites explain how different waxes work in different types of snow. Don't use a soft "grip" wax ment for the traction area on cross country skis, snow sticks to "grip" wax.
Spray-on car wax works well on snow shovels and snow blowers. It works better and wears longer than than oils or cooking sprays. Be sure to apply wax several days ahead of time so the wax is dry and hard before you need to use it. If the wax is wet or soft snow will stick to it.
Turtle Wax and Meguires make spray-on car waxes. Nu-Finish is a petrolium based car wax that sheds snow well too.
