The United States is no longer a "powerhouse" in anything. What few American corporations there are left are not investing in this country. Education is so poor in this country we are falling behind third world countries. Germany and Japan are the mechanical innovators now. Their steel, especially Japan's, is second to none. We gave them all the best technology and built them back after WW2. China is stealing technology as fast as they can and we are so in debted to them we are powerless to do anything about it. India is where electronic innovation is happening. The United States is showing weakness by not being able to keep our house in order and that's why so many rogue nations are becoming bold and trying to gain nuclear weapons. I love this country and bleed red, white, and blue but it scares the heck out of me to see what I'm seeing but at the same time it makes me mad as hell that all the things that made this country the greatest on earth have been squandered. There has been a lot of blood shed to get us to where we have been. This must not be taught in school anymore. All the younger generations seem to care about now are 4g phones and the latest video game release, both of which are made in China.
