: : I am thinking of using JB WELD on the inside of the top & bottom rad. tanks on my tractor I,m restoring, will it hold up? I am going to sandblast them first , also is there anything else I should use to treat the metal before or after? : J B WELD - duct tape in a tube - I have used a lot of it but not around that much heat. I wouldn't be too afraid to try it. I have used it inside the water jacket of the engine block on a John Deere which has been in use every day since. About a year now and no more leak. I was leaking coolant from a small crack in the block. I was able to access the area with the head removed and ground it clean before using JB Weld. That is the only prep I used. Stuff is GREAT!! It does stand up to the heat. Before using it I had cooling system sealant in there which was not doing the job. After using JB I flushed the whole system and have only antifreeze and water with no leaks. Dave
