I"ve got an 83 Jeep CJ7 w/ the 258 motor. My motor is getting tired, and I plan I replacing it this winter w/ a rebuilt one. For now, I"m just trying to get another 5K miles out of it. My trouble is that the rings are worn (smoking) & my rear main seal is leaking (again). In the past I have used the Lucas Oil Stabilizer & it does a good job of stopping the smoking, but, the raise in oil pressure seems to cause the rear main to leak worse. I noticed at Napa, Lucas products now makes an Oil Stop Leak. Has anyone used this yet? Can I use it in addition to the Stabilizer? I just did an oil change w/ just 15-40 (no additive) & it"s running good, but, definately smoking a lot more. Thanks.
