: Is there any way (easy or hard!) to put power steering on a ford 9n? It's a wonderful tractor but find of hard to steer, espesially with a loader on it. Thanks for any insite! I have a non-destructive bolt on gear reduction steering unit on the drawing board for a John Deere "A" but Fords & Fergusons present some special problems. When used with loaders these tractors often suffer bent front axles which make them even harder to steer as it throws them completely out of camber. If loader use is heavy, a brace assembly can be fabricated to strenghten the axle. I don't know of any power steering kits that will fit,but some else might. A small amount of improvement can sometimes be obtained by replacing the lube in the gear box with some type of super lube like "duralube" or "Slick 50". I also keep one gun filled with a tube of "Slick 50" grease to use on steering fittings. Good luck.
