There's an old saying, "Elections have consequences". Oops, no, that's my saying.
A couple of years ago I watched a special by John Stossel, a staunch libertarian. It was called "Who Owns This Country?". A couple of segments were centered, one, on a town in the far northwest where the governmnt decided that the one road leading to the town was or should be part of the wilderness, so they closed the road, shutting down the town. The towns folk unbarracaded the road, so the government had it blocked with huge bolders that the towns folk could not move. Town folded up, everything abandoned, now the government owns it all. Another segment was on a rancher up in the northwest as well, that for whatever reason, the government put the ranchers property off limits to him, and told him every day that they catch him on his ranch, $50,000 fine. Then they showed government Cessnas making daily checks of the area to insure that he was not on his ranch, or $50,000 fine, per day.
But recently, someone stood up to the EPA and their fines, and won in the Supreme Court...

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
