Call me the worlds biggest scrooge if you want but I and now my family find nothing "magic" about Disney's Magic Kingdom. We were down in 2000 with kids 3 and 6 and it was kinda fun. We went back in 09 with kids 9, 11, 15 and it basically sucked. For one, its way overpriced from top to bottom-entry, food, drink, trinkets, you name it its all a rip off. Second, to us, all the features are now "kiddie" themed. Way too juvenile. If your kids are say, 2-5 then ok. Even my 9 year old was bored. With today's electronic gadget world its impossible to build permanent theme attractions and stay cutting edge. Third, the service was horrible! My wife and I were down in 92 and it was truly "magical" with workers everywhere, nothing closed, occasional special offers here and there and a few modest priced trinkets. In 2010 the service stunk! Few gate workers, dirty grounds and lots closed. Now, granted we were there in JUne which is the season for repairs. The temp was Bataan death march hot! A lady passed out in a line and the worker went for help. No one ever did come, after 1/2 hour patrons revived her! End of rant. Depending on the age of the kids don't go to Magic Kingdom. Blizzard Beach water park was pretty neat. I don't remember the name but the hotel we tried was down from an Orange shaped store in Kissimee. They were both dumps!
