With triple axles the tires scrub more when turning, so the tires wear faster. Also when you get that many tires in a row and have a heavy load they want to go straight....and can get hairy when cornering on icy roads (easier to jacknife). of course you have two more sets of wheel bearings and brakes to worry about also.

I'm aware of the disadvantages. I thought I was asking Ralph what the +s(advantages) were other than a cheaper price. I also know the flat tire history on triple axle trailers.
