I read and posted on Jay's posting below about drinking raw milk. I want to have all of you to think about what the "cost" of drinking it COULD be. How would any of you feel after you got to watch a family member become very ill and maybe even die from something that was caused by drinking raw milk??? IS the life and health of the weaker family members worth risking over this issue??? They are the ones most likely to become ill form the diseases that can be carried by raw milk. The very young, older people, and any with other health problems are the ones that would be hit the hardest by becoming very ill.
I can't tell you with any 100% certainty that there is any health gain with drinking raw milk. I can find articles and studies supporting both sides of the issue. I have drank raw milk with no issues too.
What I can find with 100% certainty are the obituaries of people that died one hundred years ago from the diseases that unpasteurized milk carried.
So I bought and used a small pasteurizer so my kids had whole milk that I thought was safe. So far I have not had to go through loosing one of my children or grand children. I just don't want to take the risk, no matter how small many think it is, of them getting sick over unpasteurized milk. I don't even like eating raw vegetables that are shipped in from who knows where. Maybe I am just a nervous Nelly but I don't play Russia roulette either.
I have some raw, all natural fertilizer, I am going to have to haul here in the next week or so. If any of you want a few loads you can come and get them. All natural, no added ingredients. LOL I forgot!!! The natural smell is all wrong for the city folks. So I guess I will just have to keep all of it then.
